Biologist (m/f/d) - Protein Purification Specialist

Are you looking for a new challenge in the pharmaceutical industry? Our team at GULP – experts united is seeking a skilled Biologist (m/f/d) to join our protein purification team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing protein purification processes for the provision of enzymes and proteins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and optimization of protein purification processes (downstream processes) for the provision of enzymes and proteins
- Use of cell disruption methods (ultrasound, high pressure), chromatography methods (affinity, IEX, HIC, SEC etc.), precipitation methods, filtration and high-throughput methods
- Evaluation of the quality of the enzymes using various in-process analytical methods (activity assays, SDS-PAGE, protein content, foreign activity tests, etc.)
- Collaboration in the transfer of products to production scale as well as to production and analytics
- Documentation of all completed work
- Participation in troubleshooting projects
Requirements:
- Completed studies in the relevant field (e.g. biology, biochemistry, biotechnology)
- Experience with proteins/protein purification and chromatography in a corresponding hygiene environment
- Very good knowledge of German and at least basic knowledge of English
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new methods
- Ability to familiarize yourself with complex issues
- Experience with activity testing desirable
- Ability to lift up to 20kg in individual cases
