About You and This Role
We're seeking a Senior EH&S Delivery Leader to be based in Wiesbaden, Germany.
As a leader, you'll foster a work environment with high integrity, a strong customer and safety focus, and a commitment to inclusion, diversity, innovation, and sustainability. You'll be responsible for:
- Leading the EH&S and Quality team
- Coordinating and monitoring task performance by occupational safety specialists
- Developing uniform standards for occupational health and safety
- Inspiring and motivating employees, setting priorities, and ensuring completion
- Integrating safety and health awareness into management and process control
- Organizing and leading the occupational safety committee at the Wiesbaden site
- Providing support in optimizing EH&S work processes, standards, and procedures
- Participating in root cause investigations and managing them if necessary
- Collaborating with EH&S Expertise Centers in implementing Dow Standards according to local regulations and laws
- Working with DOW Business Services on occupational health and safety matters
Qualifications
You'll need:
- A university degree in a chemical-technical field or other chemical specialization
- Several years of practical and active EH&S experience in production, TICA, or maintenance
- Experience as a safety specialist or willingness to qualify as a SiFa
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to convince and inspire
- Knowledge of the practical application and implementation of German/EU legislation
- The ability to assert yourself, mediate, and maintain constructive relationships with internal and external customers
- A high degree of initiative and a willingness to make changes
- Very good German and good English language skills
- Confidence with electronic systems
