Translation Project Coordinator for Luxembourg-Based Client

Manpower Luxembourg S.A. is seeking a skilled Translation Project Coordinator to manage translation production for one of its clients. As a key member of the Production Management Unit, you will oversee the entire workflow of translation projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality service, and adherence to administrative procedures.
Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and coordinate translation projects from launch to delivery, ensuring set deadlines are respected.
- Prepare texts for translation into multiple languages, analyzing and checking documents, and pre- and post-processing as needed.
- Coordinate large-scale projects across EU and other languages, dealing with in-house and external translators, and monitoring the entire workflow.
- Finalize translation projects by verifying language versions are correctly formatted, complete, and error-free, and updating translation memories for outsourced languages.
- Supervise translation workflows, interacting closely with Linguistic Services Division clients and translators.
- Negotiate deadlines with clients and consult on conflicting deadlines.
- Correct data input into workflow management tools to ensure reliable statistics.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Division procedures, particularly within the Production Management Unit.
- Occasionally conduct spot-checks of translations into their native language if different from English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish.
- Secondary education complemented by a 2-year certification in a relevant field (e.g., secretarial studies, business administration) or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a translation environment, with CAT tool expertise (SDL Studio suite) and workflow management experience desired.
- Excellent formatting skills, including proficiency in Word, good knowledge of Excel, and basic knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with standard office tools and eagerness to learn new IT applications, such as the Plunet workflow management system.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with good French command and knowledge of German an asset.
The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately €45,000 - €65,000, commensurate with experience.
