Lead a Team of Logistics Experts in a Global Environment

Our client, a leading global industrial company with a worldwide presence, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Controlling Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a small controlling team within the global logistics sector, ensuring efficient operations and financial performance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the logistics controlling team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Oversee all aspects of controlling activities within the logistics sector, ensuring compliance with commercial regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across various departments, including Operations, Finance, Headquarters, and Management, to align strategic objectives and drive operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive budget planning strategies for the logistics department, ensuring financial sustainability and resource optimization.
  • Conduct in-depth business evaluations, statistical analyses, and data-driven insights to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the logistics operations.
  • Prepare concise and informative reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations to Management for informed decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough target/actual comparisons and variance analyses to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.

Your Profile:

  • Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics with a specialization in Controlling/Accounting, coupled with proven experience in a similar leadership position within the logistics industry.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of complex logistic processes and supply chain management principles.
  • Exhibit exceptional proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with international teams and stakeholders.
  • Showcase strong leadership skills, a dynamic approach, and the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving shared goals.
  • Possess a highly analytical and goal-oriented work style, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Be willing to travel occasionally for business purposes.
