About the Role

The Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and account development for Kids2 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Growth and Development: Increase sales and account profitability within scope of influence.
  • Account Relationship Building: Develop, build, and enhance relations with major account buying teams.
  • Sales Call Planning and Execution: Responsible for planning and executing sales calls.
  • Communication and Information Sharing: Provide timely information and communication with internal departments regarding sales call materials.
  • Promotional and Marketing Planning: Develop, present, and implement promotional and marketing plans with accounts.
  • Annual Sales Budgeting: Prepare and propose annual sales budgets for assigned accounts.
  • Monthly Business Review Meetings: Prepare for monthly business review meetings focused on financial performance of accounts and develop gap closure plans to achieve quarterly/yearly sales objectives.
  • Key Account Business Planning: On-going development and monitoring of key account business plans.
  • Account Data Analysis: Identify, develop, and analyze account data, including profitability, rate of sales, pricing, and consumer trends.
  • Monthly Sales and Commercialization Meetings: Prepare for monthly sales and commercialization meetings focused on promotional and marketing plans for assigned accounts.
  • Long-term Account Strategies: Identify, develop, and implement long-term account strategies and objectives.
  • Trade Shows and Events: Attend key trade shows and retail-sponsored events as needed.
  • Internal Communication: Act as the key contact for all internal departments regarding all issues pertaining to assigned accounts.
  • Call Reporting: Prepare and send call reports within 48 hours of sales calls.
  • Market Knowledge: Maintain an effective knowledge of external market factors, including competitive information, to make educated account decisions and product recommendations.
  • Regular Meetings: Set-up regular meetings with assigned accounts, involving travel to their offices or Kids2 offices.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 4-6 years of professional sales experience in the consumer product or related industry.
  • Sales Administration Background: Strong background in sales administration/sales support.
  • Education: High School Diploma equivalent required; Business Graduate preferred.
  • Language Skills: Native German speaker with fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including margins, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Computer and Typing Skills: At a minimum, MS Office, MS Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
