Salary and BenefitsAs an Energy Test Engineer at Brunel Germany, you can expect a salary range of approximately €70,000 to €90,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. We offer an in-house Ver.di collective agreement adapted to our professional group's salary structures, along with open-ended contracts that include 30 days paid vacation. Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining electrical laboratory equipment, planning tests, and consulting with stakeholders. Key duties include working with multi-megawatt battery systems, analyzing test data, and interpreting results. You will also be required to design and operate test rigs for testing electrical, electrochemical, and electromechanical components, including battery abuse testing. Furthermore, you will coordinate, prepare, and conduct tests of battery cells, modules, and packs as well as electrical parts and components according to relevant standards.
Required Skills and QualificationsWe are seeking a highly motivated individual with a Master's or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, mechatronics, or a related field. Strong knowledge of working in electrical laboratories and best testing practices is essential. At least two years of hands-on experience working with battery systems is required, along with experience in using BMS functions, CAN systems, and general test bench software. Knowledge of battery module and battery system testers (AVL, Kratzer, Basytec, or similar) is also necessary. Fluency in English is mandatory, while fluency in German or another language would be beneficial.
