Job Title: Head of Global IP Operations

Giesecke+Devrient GmbH is a leading international technology group and traditional family business with over 14,000 employees in 40 countries. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced European and/or German Patent Attorney to lead our Global IP Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement IP strategies to support business growth and innovation
  • Lead a team of patent attorneys to ensure efficient and excellent IP operations
  • Collaborate with IP Portfolio Managers to drive operational execution of IP strategies
  • Manage the continuous evaluation and selection of external patent law firms globally
  • Represent Giesecke+Devrient in front of Patent offices and courts of arbitration
Requirements:
  • European and/or German Patent Attorney with strong leadership abilities and business acumen
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience
  • Up-to-date knowledge of IP strategies, trends, developments, and practices
  • Strong communications skills and personal initiative
  • Fluent in German, proficiency in English is a plus
