At Wen Cheng, we're a dynamic team of culinary experts who are passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. We're seeking an experienced Shift Manager/Service Lead to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant during their shift.

Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including staff management, inventory control, and financial performance.
  • Staff Supervision: Train, schedule, and supervise restaurant staff to ensure optimal coverage and compliance with company policies.
  • Culture Development: Promote a positive and collaborative work environment, supporting teamwork and professional development of employees.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement and enforce operational standards and procedures to ensure consistent high quality and efficiency in service.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze sales figures, turnover, and expenditure and take proactive measures to optimize profitability and reduce costs.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations through regular inspections and prompt rectification of defects.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Interacting with customers, ensuring their satisfaction, and handling and resolving concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Catering Experience: Preferably with staff responsibility, but not a must.
  • Restaurant Operations Knowledge: Good knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and kitchen management.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, focusing on providing a memorable dining experience.
  • Time Management: Good time management with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
