A Day in the Life

As a Hardware and Software Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from automating auxiliary systems to developing innovative technical concepts. Your day will be filled with a dynamic mix of creativity and precision as you develop solutions in both software and hardware, ensuring seamless integration and smooth operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software and hardware solutions for offshore transmission platforms.
  • Contribute to the technical concepts and implementation of auxiliary systems.
  • Coordinate with global customers to fulfill their technical requirements.
  • Develop and implement SCADA systems, including UI/UX design.
  • Create documentation for software and hardware within the project.
  • Conduct and support acceptance tests with customers and subcontractors.
  • Develop and execute training sessions for customer personnel.

Requirements

  • Completed technical university degree in automation technology or computer science, or a comparable education.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in automation technology, including knowledge of Simatic S7 and PCS7.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems SIMATIC WinCC OA and/or CopaData Zenon is advantageous.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
