Siemens Energy is seeking a skilled Hardware and Software Development Expert to join our team in Hamburg, Germany. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in the development of cutting-edge technology for offshore transmission platforms.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to the realization of auxiliary systems for offshore transmission platforms. You will be responsible for the technical concepts and subsequent implementation in software and hardware, ensuring seamless integration and smooth operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technical concepts for auxiliary systems, including software and hardware components.
- Collaborate with global customers to understand their technical requirements and ensure that our solutions meet their needs.
- Contribute to the development of SCADA systems, including UI/UX design and implementation.
- Create detailed documentation for software and hardware components.
- Conduct and support acceptance tests with customers and subcontractors.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for customers' future operating and service personnel.
Requirements
- Completed technical university degree in automation technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in automation technology, with expertise in Simatic S7, PCS7, and Visual Basic/C#.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems, including SIMATIC WinCC OA and CopaData Zenon, is an asset.
- Fluency in German and English is required.
- Ability to work in a hybrid remote/office environment and willingness to undertake multi-week stays abroad.
