Debt Capital Markets Intern

As a member of the syndication team at Société Générale Assurances, this internship will give you the opportunity to gain deep fixed income knowledge on both investor and issuer side.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior syndicate managers on the desk's daily tasks with responsibilities including assisting in syndicating MTNs, German Domestic Products, and managing pricing tools.
  • Run market analysis and statistics, monitoring the private placement activity.
  • Prepare internal and external pitches towards issuers and investors.
  • Support the team in pre and post-trade execution, including drafting term sheets and liaising with Middle Office and Back Office.
  • Resolve any settlement or legal issues to ensure timely settlement of deals.

Profile required

  • Currently studying in a Grande Ecole or University Diploma in Business Administration, Master of Science in Management or Finance.
  • The candidate must still be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program.
  • Experience in the Debt Capital Markets, specifically Syndication, would be a plus.
  • Strong financial background and knowledge of the international bond market.
  • Able to develop an understanding of derivatives and structured products.

Technical skills/Languages

  • First-class marketing skills, able to synthesise complex market arguments and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office required, Bloomberg knowledge would be helpful.
  • Good quantitative skills, comfortable with all aspects of financial maths.
  • Financial skills, able to interpret a balance sheet, income and cash flow statement.
  • Fluent Business English required, ideally good German command; French would be a plus.
