In this key role, you will work in the bridgehead function between the trading and tax department of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. Your primary responsibility will be to provide tax advice to the business on commodity trading. You will also assist with various tax issues, focusing on compliance, reporting, and transfer pricing.

Your key responsibilities and tasks will include:

  • Supporting energy trading in national and international environments, considering income taxes, tax reporting, and accounting
  • Participating in tax planning for restructurings, M&A transactions, and the development of new business fields
  • Coordinating external tax advisors in Germany and abroad
  • Reviewing tax contracts and deal approvals
  • Ensuring data compliance for CbCR
  • Preparing and reviewing transfer pricing reports

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Economics with a focus on taxes or a comparable educational background, as well as a successfully completed German Tax Consultant Exam (Steuerberaterexamen)
  • More than 5 years of work experience in a tax consulting and/or accounting firm or a group tax department, including practical experience in international trading
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues to non-tax literate colleagues
  • High proficiency in both German and English
  • Affinity for technical support of taxable IT systems and applications
