Procurement Team Lead

A leading global manufacturer of electrical components is seeking a seasoned Procurement Team Lead to oversee its purchasing operations.

With a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, the company combines cutting-edge R&D with rigorous quality standards, making it a trusted partner across the globe.

As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 5, purchasing finished products across various industry segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee material planning, purchasing prices, and inventory management.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and implement material planning and procurement strategies across various product categories.
  • Manage and execute purchasing price controls.
  • Perform day-to-day purchasing activities.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and manage the purchasing team.
  • Enhance and refine the key performance indicator system.
  • Drive continuous improvement of operational processes.
  • Train and mentor team members.
  • Participate in personnel selection and conduct employee interviews.

Requirements:

  • A degree in purchasing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in managing a purchasing department.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, policies, and processes.
  • Proficient in SAP (SD, MM, MW).
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Fluent in both German and English, with proficiency in Chinese being a plus but not essential.
