Job Description: Electrical Engineer for Robotic Systems

The Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Institute for Robotic and Mechatronics in Oberpfaffenhofen. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing digital electronics for communication and signal processing in robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and development of electronic components for robotic systems
  • Implementation of communication infrastructure for sensors and control computers
  • Development of firmware for FPGAs and system-on-chip FPGAs
  • Hardware description with VHDL for modules for communication, control and signal processing
Requirements
  • Completed university degree in engineering (e.g. specializing in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics)
  • Sound knowledge in the field of electrical engineering and real-time communication
  • Sound knowledge of circuit development
  • Sound knowledge of hardware description with VHDL
