About the Role:
As an HR Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing payroll operations for our clients' workforce in Germany. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll while adhering to German labor laws and company policies. You will be an integral part of the HR team, collaborating closely with various departments to maintain accurate employee records and address payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Manage the entire payroll cycle, including the calculation of salaries, bonuses, deductions, and taxes, ensuring compliance with applicable German labor laws and internal policies.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Data Analysis: Prepare payroll reports and analyses for management, providing insights on payroll trends, costs, and compliance issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure that payroll data aligns with employee records, and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Policy Compliance: Stay informed about changes in German labor laws and regulations, ensuring that payroll practices remain compliant and up to date.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
Requirements:
- Language Proficiency: Native-level proficiency in German and strong English communication skills are essential.
- Payroll Expertise: A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in payroll processing; candidates with HR experience/education without a solid payroll background will not be considered.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of German labor law and regulations related to payroll and employee benefits.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with payroll software and HR information systems is preferred.
- Documentation: Candidates must possess one of the following valid documents: EU Citizenship, Fiktionsbescheinigung, Aufenthaltstitel, or Niederlassungserlaubnis (with permission for employment).
