Job Summary:
As a Sales Manager/Sales Overlay at Altair Germany/DACH Region, you will be part of the local and global sales organization, promoting various Simulation solutions such as DEM (Discrete Element Method), to a range of organizations across multiple industry sectors.
The Sales Manager/Sales Overlay owns the revenues for DEM Technology across the DACH region. You will be responsible for selling and promoting market-leading Altair EDEM software products and support services to customers. As part of the Altair team, you will collaborate closely with all departments to ensure an excellent customer experience with Altair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new software sales to achieve targets by identifying, prospecting, and hunting new opportunities with the support from Technical and Marketing teams as well as other Sales Account Managers.
- Define go-to-market strategies based on the territory by working with local and global Teams.
- Act as a sales overlay for DEM Technology by taking full ownership of the business for Altair EDEM in the DACH region.
- Manage complex sales cycles and coordinate with the SDRs, other Sales Account Managers, Marketing, and technical departments to propose appropriate solutions with high added value for our customers.
- Conduct market & territory research on targeted accounts, industry verticals, competition, and more.
- Strategically work on developing collaborations with research groups, industries, and academia to evangelize the technology.
- Cover local and global markets, in multi-language and cultural diversity.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of software sales experience. 3 years selling to enterprise accounts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic/large account sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, develop business cases, and negotiate & close deals.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
- Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles.
- A team player, highly energetic, self-motivated, confident, and results-oriented.
- Sales mindset, data-driven, not afraid of challenges, and eager to prove yourself against sales metrics.
- Coachable and enjoy working in a multicultural environment.
- Honest, accountable, assertive, systematic, and results-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation – Full professional fluency in German and English.
