Research Scientist in the Faculty of Computer Science

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will participate in research and teaching activities within the research group, contributing 4 semester hours per week. Key responsibilities include research and teaching in the areas of sensor data fusion, distributed state estimation, and autonomous robotic systems. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for documenting, publishing, and presenting research results.

Requirements:
  • Mastery of a Master's degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: distributed and decentralized information processing, sensor data fusion, sensor networks, Kalman filtering, Bayesian inference, machine learning in robotic applications, and robot programming.
  • Proficiency in the German and English language, both spoken and written.
  • High self-motivation, team working skills, and readiness for interdisciplinary work.
  • Experience in teaching and organizing lectures is an advantage.
