Research Scientist in Computer Science

Main Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team in the Faculty of Computer Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in research and teaching activities, conducting research in the area of sensor data fusion, distributed state estimation, and autonomous robotic systems, and documenting, publishing, and presenting research results.

Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: distributed and decentralized information processing, sensor data fusion, sensor networks, Kalman filtering, Bayesian inference, machine learning in robotic applications, and robot programming.
  • Proficiency in the German and English language (spoken and written).
  • High self-motivation, team working skills, and readiness for interdisciplinary work.
  • Experience in teaching and organization of lectures is an advantage.

This is a fixed-term position, initially until 28.02., but can be potentially extended.
