Postdoctoral Researcher in Vascular Dysfunction

In the framework of a project funded by the German Research Foundation, we are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to work directly under the head of the Vascular Dysfunction Department.

Your tasks:

  • Contribute to a research project focusing on understanding mitochondria metabolism and dynamics in the regulation of vascular aging and regeneration.
  • Apply advanced proteomic, metabolomic, carbon tracing, transcriptomic, and epigenetic methodologies.
  • Develop and utilize in vitro and in vivo models of vascular regeneration.
  • Implement molecular cloning, reporter systems, and live cell imaging techniques.
  • Collect, analyze, and document experimental data, and prepare material for publication.

Your skills:

  • Completed PhD in biology, biochemistry, proteomics, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Experience in molecular biology, mitochondria biology, metabolism, or protein function, and experience with primary cells.
  • Experience in bioinformatics is advantageous.
  • Good self-organization and team working abilities.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required.
