Applications Scientist

As part of our European team, you'll train and guide customers in their use of our state-of-the-art software platform to address challenging problems in drug discovery and maximize the impact of computational methods. You will also actively participate in research projects to advance the field of computer-driven molecular design.

We plan to fill this position in one of our two offices in Germany (Mannheim or Munich), or remotely in Paris.

**What you'll do**:

- Provide scientific support to current and prospective customers, including education on the optimal use of Schrödinger's life science software platform
- Facilitate interactions between customers and product development teams
- Advance the field of computer-driven drug discovery through active research and scientific collaborations
- Promote knowledge transfer (for instance, by publishing scientific papers and presenting at conferences)

**What you should have**:

- PhD and postdoctoral research in computational chemistry, bioinformatics, or related fields, _or_ at least five years of experience in computational drug discovery in the commercial sector
- A solid understanding of the commercial drug discovery process
- Excellent English language skills (both verbal and written); Spanish language skills are a plus
- Willingness to travel
- Experience with biologics (antibody, enzyme, or peptide modelling; protein-protein docking, etc.) preferred
- Practical experience with machine learning technologies or different modalities is a plus
