Your Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic models for Uniper's long-term flexibility in power markets.
- Enhance the existing pan-European fundamental power market model to capture, calibrate, and forecast quarter-hourly power prices until 2050.
- Coordinate the development of additional model capabilities, including data requirements, in collaboration with market and data experts.
- Review and assess external analysis, helping to refine Uniper's view on fundamental drivers, flexibility, regulatory changes, and more.
- Balance administration, operation, and new development of analytical tools, market models, and data feeds within the long-term flexibility context.
- Present insights as a subject-matter expert to stakeholders across all hierarchical levels within Uniper.
- Ensure effective relationships with peer analysts and stakeholders to guarantee optimal cooperation, information flow, and decision making.
Your Profile
- Excellent education in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or similar fields.
- Several years of relevant experience and in-depth understanding in fundamental market analysis and modeling related to European power markets.
- Track record in developing and enhancing market models, including handling and processing large amounts of data.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a solution-oriented approach.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for international and diverse environments.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, under time pressure, and adapt to stakeholder requirements.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) required; knowledge of additional languages (German, Swedish, etc.) a plus.
