Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a Controls Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning automated material handling systems within our department across the globe.

Main Responsibilities

  • Read and correctly interpret electrical layout and schematic drawings using appropriate CAD tools.
  • Assist in Factory testing of the PLC and visualisation software.
  • Interpret design input information and produce sorter control system configuration databases for assigned projects in house.
  • Verify quality of electrical installation on site and troubleshoot errors.
  • Liaise with electrical installation supervisors and subcontractors.
  • Follow test procedures, verify basic functionality of control software on site to be able to run the ASRS in standalone mode.
  • Integrate ASRS control system with external subsystems (3rd party subsystems, host WMS/WCS) ensuring full functionality following the relevant test procedures and according to project specifications.
  • Provide support to site-wide system commissioning activities until acceptance by the end-user.
  • Record all of the software commissioning test results into the proper modules attached to the commissioning test procedure.
  • Feed back relevant information to electrical and software engineering teams to produce amendments to control system designs.

About You

  • You have a degree or experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Controls Engineering.
  • Educated to professional degree level in a relevant discipline.
  • Previously held a similar role, have experience in electrical installation process, previous use of CAD tools and PLC programming (desirable, but not essential).
  • Passionate about automation, engineering, and technological innovation.
  • You have great communication skills and ability to easily adapt to various cultural backgrounds.
  • Self-motivated, initiative and seeking for continues self-development.
  • Excited about travelling globally, up to 80% of the time.
  • Full working proficiency in English.
  • Hold a valid driving license.
