About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Gas Chromatography Systems MAXUM GmbH. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling our MAXUM Gas Chromatographs to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, renewables, and other industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating sales opportunities in the CRM system by observing and identifying customer needs
  • Tracking relevant sales leads and ensuring opportunities are followed up, adhering to commercial law and ethical principles
  • Visiting customers to deepen existing relationships or establish new ones
  • Processing customer inquiries and forwarding them to the central quotation department
  • Checking and managing quotations and orders
  • Collaborating with the central sales support and operations team to clarify questions and develop solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, engineering technology, or similar
  • Several years of experience in the process industry and/or automation technology
  • Strong customer focus and ability to turn customer problems into commercial solutions
  • Fluency in German and English, with good intercultural communication skills
  • Ability to present yourself and your topics well, with a talent for interacting with customers
  • Confidence in a dynamic business environment, with problem-solving skills under time pressure
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of working time within your sales territory, with occasional international travel
