Job Summary

The Simulation Engineer Electronics will be focused on modeling and simulation of electronic circuits, related physical domains, and day-to-day support for the developing team in designing, characterizing, and testing various aspects of automotive products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Modeling, simulating, and analysis of electronic circuits and systems to meet technical product requirements or circuit design.
  • Perform testing, characterization, and verification of electronic designs and their key electronic components.
  • Explore and apply simulations in related domains, such as 3D thermal analysis, power distribution analysis, parasitic extraction, EMC, and magnetics.
  • Cooperation and coordination with in-house departments as well as external consulting for specific use cases.
  • Support BorgWarner product development team with technical design analysis, trade-off studies, and design reviews.
  • Development of simulation models for internal use.

Requirements

  • Masters' degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Automotive Electronic or e-Mobility Engineering.
  • Knowledge of relevant EMC standards, standing orders, and legal requirements.
  • Knowledge in the field of theoretical electrical engineering and electrodynamics.
  • Capable to apply relevant simulation tools and methods.
  • Experience in a lab environment with electrical circuits preferred.
  • Work in a diversified team, where strong cross-team and cross-domain communication skills are key.
  • Fluency in English and German is required.
