At our location in Lohr, we produce with around 420 employees the complete performance spectrum around standardized and customer-specific glass packaging for the pharmaceutical, perfume, and cosmetics industry, as well as for special segments of the food and beverage industry. As a Process Engineer (m/w/d) in the Glass Melting area, you can expect the following tasks:

  • Strategic planning, standardization, and technology screening in the glass melting area, such as CO2-neutral processes/melts
  • Evaluation of technologies for glass melting processes taking into account the corresponding requirements of the respective production sites
  • Project management including planning, execution, and control of individual development and improvement projects
  • Planning, preparation, and execution of feasibility studies and process developments in the areas of glass, oven, and feed technology, as well as in the area of raw materials/mixtures
  • Closely working together between the production departments Glass Melting and Hot End across all locations
  • Company-wide standardization of processes such as oven safety concept, energy efficiency
  • Analysis of glass, raw material, and process data, including evaluation and documentation
RequirementsSuccessful completion of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Glass Technology, Mineralogy, Applied Chemistry, or a comparable qualificationFundamental experience in the field of glass production, glass processing, or glass chemistry is desirableKnowledge of glass oven construction is an advantageProficient use of MS Office, MS Project, Six Sigma Tools; ideally first programming experiencesFluent German and English language skillsReliability, self-motivation, and team orientationStructured systematic way of workingAdditional Information
