Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Supervisor to join our team at Amentum. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, overseeing, and providing supervision for all processes related to the receiving, processing, issuing, and storing of components, secondary items, and basic issue items for Army Prepositioned Stocks – 2 (APS-2) Modification Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate detailed reports from the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A).
  • Correspond with other managers and/or the Supply Manager to provide detailed analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Interact professionally with Amentum management, government, and VIPs.
  • Instruct personnel on proper ordering, tracking, updating, and supply management of assets.
  • Ensure each item is ordered, received, stored, and issued according to policy and procedures.
  • Ensure all APS-2 equipment has the proper COEI and BII, and inventories are performed, items are maintained correctly, and stored according to regulations.
  • Ensure all inventories are scheduled, performed, reported, and filed according to regulations.
  • Accurately report all assigned COEI and BII equipment in the relevant LIS.
  • Conduct item research in GCSS-A and LIS, including frustrated items.
  • Correct errors in paperwork and/or relevant LIS data and report all errors promptly to the Supply Manager.
  • Conduct inventories, ensure shortages are placed on a shortage annex, and perform quality checks on COEI and BII stored on vehicles or end items.
  • Ensure containers are packed, inventoried, documented, and sealed.
  • Know and understand the policy and procedures covering TMDE and AOAP.
  • Ensure all equipment requiring calibration is inventoried, dates of calibration recorded, and items needing calibration are properly sent to TMDE for calibration.
  • Ensure all personnel understand and follow all company, government policies, procedures, and directives as directed.
  • Effectively manage small teams of personnel in all aspects of the job, including pay, vacation, sick leave, and timecard management.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of recent specialized experience in logistics, with prior military supply experience (Army MOS: 92Y/920A or equivalent) a plus.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience required.
  • Formal training: GCSS-A certification and/or military AIT/industry 40hr course equivalent.
  • Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues, and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills required.
  • Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistics Information System (LIS) access requirements (Common Access Card).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization, with US citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to independently operate with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and maintenance, preferably in an Army Prepositioned Stocks environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Formal training: GCSS-A certification and/or military AIT/industry 40hr course equivalent.

Physical Demands:

  • Stooping, sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves, 51+ with the assistance of another person, touching dexterity (hand and finger), carrying, clear seeing-general, close vision, color perception, clear speech, driving vehicle, moving objects.
  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.
  • Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required).

Work Environment:

  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, mainly sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
  • May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
