Job Opportunity: Intern (m/f/d) - Drop Shipment
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team as an Intern. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless order processing and delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently receive and process customer orders
- Monitor order status throughout the order life cycle and proactively communicate with customers regarding updates, delays, or any challenges that may arise
- Coordinate logistics, working closely with carriers, customers, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders in the expected quality and quantity
- Plan transportation routes and collaborate with external customs experts to facilitate efficient export documentation for international shipments
- Collaborate with other departments to monitor and improve supplier and carrier service levels
- Design and analyze analytics of order processing metrics, transportation performance, and service level, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Enrolled in a University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering with focus on SCM or Logistics
- First-hand working experience with Transport management system and top-tier ERP systems (Dynamics 365 or equivalent)
- Advanced skills in MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel (Pivot tables; Macros)
- Passionate about customer service and strong communication skills
- Familiarity with international team environments and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
