Human Resources Director for German Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced HR Director to lead our German HR team and oversee 6 locations in Germany. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent knowledge of German labor law, and the ability to work effectively with department heads and senior management.
Responsibilities- Lead the German HR team with two employees
- Collaborate closely with department heads and senior management to align HR strategies with business objectives
- Ensure compliance with local and international labor laws, mitigating risk and preventing legal disputes
- Prepare and deliver regular HR reports, including workforce analytics, employee performance, and retention rates
- Monitor key HR KPIs to track the efficiency of HR processes and initiatives
- Oversee HR-related costs, including recruitment, training, and employee benefits
- Ensure compliance with internal and external HR audits
- Collaborate with the works council on employee matters, negotiations, and compliance with co-determination rights under labor law
- Several years of experience as a HR generalist in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of German labor law
- Ideally, experience in dealing with work councils
- Strong communication and negotiation skills across all hierarchy levels and with various stakeholders
- Good knowledge of HR systems and digital tools
- A certain hands-on-attitude and team player
- Proven track record in implementing change management projects
