About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead QA Engineer to join our team at Deutsche Bank Technology in Berlin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process to ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality before release.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and automation testing with a focus on automation
  • Create reusable business components of test (plans, cases, data, schedules, scripts)
  • Publish testing schedules and reports
  • Develop and maintain the test automation framework
  • Retest corrections to ensure problems are resolved
  • Analyze, document, and communicate results
  • Prepare and execute test scripts/suit and ensure test results are correctly recorded
  • Work with BA/FA and stakeholders to understand business requirements and functional/non-functional specifications
  • Coordinate UAT testing with business users and downstream systems
  • Provide information to enable fact-based decisions
  • Maintain effective working relationships with team members

Your Skills and Experience

  • Participation in testing certification programs (Six Sigma, CSTE, ISTQB, ISEB, or CSTP)
  • Hands-on experience in developing or testing complex software systems
  • Knowledge of writing SQL queries and debugging procedures in Oracle
  • Practical experience of test-driven development and constant refactoring in a continuous integration environment
  • Experience working in an agile team, practicing Scrum, Kanban, or XP
  • Understanding of testing across the full software development lifecycle
  • Proactive initiation, development, and maintenance of effective working relationships with team members
  • BE/BTech/MTech from an accredited college or university, ideally with an IT-related concentration
