Experimental Particle Physicist Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Experimental Particle Physicist to join our dynamic research team at Technische Universität Dortmund.

Research Focus: The successful candidate will be expected to conduct cutting-edge research in experimental particle physics with accelerators, with a specific focus on the physics of the heaviest particles (top quark and/or Higgs boson). This research will involve participation in national and international collaborations, including the ATLAS experiment at CERN.

Teaching and Academic Duties: The professor will contribute to the teaching activities of the Department of Physics, developing and teaching courses in experimental particle physics and related areas. The professor will also participate in academic self-administration and contribute to the department's research network.

Requirements: To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a doctorate with above-average success and a postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or an equivalent qualification. They must also demonstrate outstanding research excellence in the field of particle physics, with a strong publication record and experience in securing third-party funding.
