Climate Transition Expert

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Europe and Middle East (EME) public sector team within our global Energy, Sustainability and Infrastructure segment (ES&I). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver high-level and impactful projects that drive climate neutrality and sustainability in the buildings sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tailored solutions to support the transformation of the buildings sector towards climate neutrality and sustainability.
  • Work closely with our team of experts to analyze complex challenges and develop well-balanced and cost-effective solutions.
  • Conduct data gathering and analysis, perform complex calculations and simulations, and develop policy recommendations to support our clients.
  • Collaborate with our clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

Requirements

  • University or University of Applied Sciences degree in a relevant field, such as natural sciences, engineering, or political science.
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in energy and/or climate analysis.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Fluent in German language written and spoken, with a strong understanding of the German language and culture.
  • Fluent in English language written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in energy calculation and simulation of buildings, R programming, or advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of heat network analysis or policies, sector-coupling, heat pumps, EVs, and energy system integration buildings, including hydrogen.
  • Life-cycle assessment methods and tools, and deeper insights into national and international policy cycles.
