Job Summary

We are seeking a distinguished engineer to act as an analytics and database Chief Development Architect and help shape the future of our fully managed cloud services portfolio as a member of the HANA Database and Analytics, Technology Office team.

You will be part of a highly experienced central architecture team that owns end-to-end responsibility for SAP's data management strategy, which is the backbone of the entire SAP portfolio. Your key responsibilities will include defining the future architecture for the overall cloud portfolio in the HANA Database and Analytics space, working with leading-edge technologies, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving architecture topics across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the future architecture for the overall cloud portfolio in the HANA Database and Analytics space
  • Work with leading-edge technologies and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Drive architecture topics across the company
  • Act as a spearhead of our development organization

Requirements

  • Desire to work on the leading edge of cloud-based analytics and database technologies
  • Track record of quickly adapting to new environments and demonstrating flexible, pragmatic, and long-term thinking
  • Experience in data integration technologies and enterprise applications
  • Established record of accomplishments as an architect with analytics and data management engineering teams
  • Deep knowledge in SAP BW/4 and track record in leading data warehousing development projects as an architect
  • Practical experience with operating Cloud-scale services in production and working on topics around scaling and resilience
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, proven inter-personal and leadership skills to drive product- & technology-related discussions internally & externally
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at C-suite and above
  • Self-motivation with a positive can-do attitude, eagerness, and ability to work quickly
  • At least 10+ year work experience in large-scale software development & architectural tasks
  • Profound knowledge in the cloud environment
  • Strong customer and partner orientation
  • Degree in Computer science or related fields
