Laboratory Test Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Test Engineer to join our team at Volocopter GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for organizing and performing all testing activities related to battery and battery management system (BMS) testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute development and qualification tests for battery and BMS systems
- Develop and maintain test setups and procedures
- Supervise and support test execution with external suppliers and execute tests independently
- Review and analyze test results and create conclusive reports
- Perform Test Reviews (TRRs)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in testing batteries or similar products in a technical environment
- Technical knowledge in battery development and/or test for high current applications
- Experience with HIL and SW tools for automotive or aviation testing and logging
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in aviation industry and regulation
- Knowledge of automotive standards like ECE R100, ISO 26262 or aviation standards like DO160G and DO311A
- High Voltage training 2E according to DGUV-I or comparable
- Experience in V-Cycle and AGILE/SCRUM environments and awareness of methodologies and used tools
- Experience with PLM tools like Siemens Team Center or similar
