Financial Accountant

The Accounting Team at ABOUT YOU is responsible for managing all business transactions according to HGB and IFRS. This involves financial accounting, including managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as inventory accounting.
As a Junior Accountant - Sales & Receivables, you will be responsible for handling business transactions in accounts receivable and financial accounting. You will also contribute to the development of underlying processes and work with an international, young, and dynamic team.
The team consists of two sub-teams: B2C and B2B. In the B2C Team, you will experience firsthand how exciting accounting can be in the e-commerce industry. You'll get an inside look into online shops operations across Europe while managing open items.
In the B2B Team, you'll quickly realize that accounting in this sector is anything but boring. From Influencer Hauls to Fulfillment Services and Tech-related billing processes – there's always something new to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing various business transactions in accounts receivable
- Communication with various departments, partners, and payment service providers
- Processing and clarification of open items
- Administration and processing of our mailing lists
- Support in projects to optimize processes in accounting
Requirements:
- Completed training as an accountant or comparable qualification as a commercial training such as tax clerk, industrial clerk, or office clerk
- First professional experience desirable but not required
- First experience with IT systems such as NAV18, Dynamics F&O & SAP 4HANA advantageous
- Independent proactive working style and good communication skills
- Fluent in English
