Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Network Coordinator in Global Health

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Network Coordinator to join our global health research group at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating a diverse team of researchers and developing an analytical framework for policymakers to address global health challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate a team of researchers to develop an analytical framework for policymakers
- Develop a roadmap for policymakers to address global health challenges
- Liaise with external partners, stakeholders, and policy makers to shape the further development of the Leibniz Lab
- Contribute to the drafting of policy papers and white papers for international policy makers and the public
- Doctorate degree in economics, health economics, health sciences, epidemiology, bioinformatics, public health, medicine, political economy, or international relations
- Excellent academic record and ambition to make a real difference in global health
- Experience in empirical applications of economic theory, behavioral sciences, evolutionary biology, or epidemiology
- Experience with quantitative methods, including relevant software such as STATA, Matlab, R, or TreeAge
- Strong interest in developing novel research-based proposals for global health policy and global health governance
The successful candidate will work closely with fellow group members at the Kiel Institute and liaise with external partners, stakeholders, and policy makers. The working language is English, and excellent English skills are required. Some knowledge of German would be useful but is not essential.
What We Offer- Full-time position with a salary based on the German public sector pay scale at grade EG 13 TV-L
