Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Network Coordinator in Global Health
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Network Coordinator to join our team at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating a diverse team of researchers and scholars, developing an analytical framework, and creating a roadmap for policymakers to address global health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate a team of researchers and scholars to develop an analytical framework and roadmap for policymakers
- Develop and implement a research agenda focused on global health challenges
- Collaborate with external partners, stakeholders, and policymakers to advance global health research and policy
- Contribute to the drafting of policy papers and white papers on global health issues
- Manage and analyze large health data sets and health economic models
- PhD in economics, health economics, health sciences, epidemiology, bioinformatics, public health, medicine, political economy, or international relations
- Excellent academic record and a strong interest in global health research
- Experience with quantitative methods, including STATA, Matlab, R, or TreeAge
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Fluency in English; knowledge of German is an asset
- A competitive salary based on the German public sector pay scale at grade EG 13 TV-L
- A full-time position with the possibility of contract extensions
