Job Title: Statistician/Biostatistician (m/f/d)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Statistician/Biostatistician to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our biostatistics group, you will provide important contributions in clinical biomarker research and development.

A Day in the Life:

  • You will support interdisciplinary teams with your statistics expertise, developing statistics strategies for biomarker projects in clinical validation and positioning.
  • You will create statistical designs and analysis plans, conduct analyses using statistical programming in R, and document your work.
  • You will be part of national and international teams conducting clinical trials, specifying and verifying product quality, and specifying statistical algorithms for clinical practice.
  • You will work on complex tasks together with subject matter experts and translate them into statistical analyses.
  • You will be an active member of our biostatistics group, developing our company-internal statistical portfolio in a sustainable way.

Requirements:

  • Master or Diploma in statistics, mathematics, or natural sciences, preferably with a PhD in statistics.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in applied statistics, preferably in industry, ideally in clinical studies, statistical design of experiments, quality control, or product validation.
  • Solid statistics knowledge, concerning ANOVA, linear mixed-effects models, logistic regression, and survival analysis.
  • Extensive programming experience, ideally in R or SAS.
  • Well-organized and excellent communication skills.
  • Very good command of English.
