Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled C++ Programmer to join our team and contribute to the development of current and future RTS game projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for providing high-level direction, helping to organize time and priorities, and be willing to get their hands dirty with day-to-day development.

About the Role:

As a C++ Programmer, you will collaborate with Designers, Producers, Artists, and the Audio team to realize and surpass our vision of the game. You will support Art and Gameplay features, create sustainable workflows, and understand and articulate the trade-offs between technical and design choices to solve for the best player experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality game features and experiences.
  • Develop and maintain efficient, scalable, and well-documented C++ code.
  • Work with production staff and other leads to establish engineering tasks and subsequent schedule requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming skills in C++.
  • Experience with proprietary game engines.
  • Familiarity with PC and Console development best practices.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical developers.
  • Experience in data-oriented design.
  • Previous leadership/mentorship experience, or leadership interest and potential.
  • Passion for real-time strategy and/or roleplaying games is welcomed.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • A positive attitude.
