Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our power module team as an Electrical Design Expert. You will play a key role in defining electrical design technology roadmaps for SiC power modules and collaborating with the team to complete pre-research on advanced packaging solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Track industry technology trends and define electrical design technology roadmaps for SiC power modules;
  • Cooperate with the team to complete pre-research on advanced packaging solutions (electrical design aspect) and organize electrical technical cooperation with universities and research institutes;
  • Responsible for SiC power module electrical design, simulation, and verification of power module packaging, and develop advanced electrical design techniques with strong competitiveness in the industry;
  • Responsible for solving difficult problems of power modules, such as oscillation, current sharing, system coupling, and module reliability;
  • Responsible for investigating and dynamically tracking forward-looking technologies of power semiconductor packaging (electrical design aspect);
  • Responsible for developing SiC MOSFET chip simulation models, completing simulation and verification of dynamic characteristics of the chip model; and
  • Responsible for power chip selection, completing chip requirement development, chip screening, and optimal patch strategy, and finally introducing and verifying new website production.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or above in microelectronics, power electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical electronics, or other related majors;
  • More than 8 years of experience in electrical development or technology research and development of power semiconductor packaging;
  • Successful experience in electrical development of SiC modules, with a preference for those who have developed products to achieve mass production status;
  • Familiarity with the overall situation of the semiconductor packaging industry and good interpersonal relationships in the industry;
  • A solid theoretical foundation for the microstructure, basic working principles, common failure modes, and power electronic circuits of power semiconductor devices such as Si, SiC, and GaN;
  • Proficiency in electromagnetic fields, circuits, power electronics, and basic principles of power devices;
  • Master SiC power module electrical design tools (such as Q3D, Pspice, Siwave, etc.); and
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, self-motivation, learning ability, proactivity, creativity, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

This salary estimate is based on industry standards and may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
