Activity Leader with a Creative Streak for German Language Immersion

Job Title: Activity Leader with a Creative Streak for German Language Immersion Camp Freiburg

At Alpadia Language Schools SA, we are seeking a highly motivated and creative Activity Leader to join our team for the upcoming summer season. As an Activity Leader, you will be responsible for delivering engaging activities and excursions to a group of international students, promoting language immersion and experiential learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement fun and interactive activities for students, focusing on creative arts and language development
  • Work closely with other Activity Leaders and Teachers to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for students
  • Lead Creative Arts programs three afternoons a week, promoting creativity and self-expression
  • Assist with day-to-day operations, including attendance checks, wake-ups, and bedtime routines
  • Participate in camp-wide Evening Programs, promoting teamwork and community building
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people in a professional capacity
  • Demonstrated skills in Art Education or teaching art/creative workshops
  • Some German proficiency (spoken B1-B2 minimum), ability to learn activity-specific vocabulary
  • Fluency in English
  • High physical, mental, and emotional resilience, ability to work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day
  • Experience in meaningful, professional teamwork
  • High energy level, excitement, and comfort speaking in front of large groups
What We Offer:
  • A weekly summer salary between 515-540 EUR (depending on experience)
  • 5 days of pre-summer staff training on language immersion, child development, outdoor facilitation, and solution-focused, positive behavior support and conflict resolution techniques
