About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Siemens Energy as a Dynamic Power System Model Reduction Specialist in our Grid Technologies Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reducing the complexity of electric transmission networks in DIgSILENT PowerFactory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement dynamic model reduction algorithms to improve the efficiency of power system simulations.
  • Design and test new model reduction techniques using power system analysis and algorithmic approaches.
  • Evaluate and present project results to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, or a related field from a reputable university.
  • Strong academic record and relevant knowledge of electrical power systems and control systems.
  • Experience with power system simulation tools, such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
  • Good understanding of power system dynamics and control theory.
  • Familiarity with Python programming language.
  • Desirable skills: familiarity with algorithms, data structures, and optimization techniques.
