Research Associate in Urban Acoustics

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled research associate to join our team at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics in Stuttgart. As a research associate, you will be part of our newly established research group "Urban and Architectural Acoustics" and contribute to the development of efficient approaches to simulating complex urban sound environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement novel methods for simulating urban sound environments
  • Collaborate with other researchers and engineers to link your developments with existing projects and activities
  • Contribute to the activities of the research group and participate in the development of high-precision models for urban sound simulations
Requirements:
  • Completed university degree (Master) in electrical engineering with a focus on computer science or a similar degree
  • Expertise in CAD, 3D modeling, and basics of acoustics
  • Good knowledge of Python, C/C++, and MATLAB for computer science
