Research Associate in Urban Acoustics

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled research associate to join our team at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics in Stuttgart. As a research associate, you will be responsible for developing efficient approaches to simulating complex urban sound environments and achieving plausible auralizations of urban sound simulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-precision models for simulating urban sound environments
  • Contribute to the activities of the research group by linking your developments with those of other employees and projects
  • Collaborate with first-class researchers in a lively, interdisciplinary environment
Requirements:
  • Completed university degree (Master) in electrical engineering with a focus on computer science or a similar or comparable degree
  • Expertise in CAD, 3D modeling
  • Basics of acoustics
  • Good knowledge of Python, C/C++ and MATLAB for computer science
