We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers in building and maintaining our foundational architecture, infrastructure, and platforms. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our core infrastructure platforms, including cloud platforms, virtualization environments, and automation tools
- Leading and mentoring a team of talented engineers, providing guidance, support, and career development opportunities
- Collaborating with the Head of Technology, the CTO, and other stakeholders to develop and execute the organization's technology strategy, focusing on platform modernization and innovation
- Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness of our infrastructure
- Ensuring that our infrastructure and platforms meet the highest standards of security and compliance
- Managing complex infrastructure projects, from planning and execution to delivery and ongoing maintenance
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completed IT studies or training as an IT specialist and relevant professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, preferably in infrastructure or cloud engineering
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform) and infrastructure technologies (e.g., virtualization, networking, storage)
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
