About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sales Associate - Fresh Produce at our REWE Market in Westerland/Sylt. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including fresh produce, meats, dairy products, and other grocery items.
  • Ensure a clean and organized store environment, including the produce department, to meet customer expectations.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment.
  • Work collaboratively with other sales team members to achieve sales goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. business, marketing, hospitality) preferred.
  • Previous retail sales experience, preferably in the grocery industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit card transactions.
