About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Hitachi Rail STS Deutschland GmbH. As a key member of our Project Management department, you will be responsible for developing contract strategies and project proposals, ensuring they meet the agreed technical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement contract strategies and project proposals
  • Identify, discuss, negotiate, and review contract baselines and documentation
  • Manage projects from delivery to lifecycle coordination, ensuring compliance with Cenelec 50126 and V-Cycle model
  • Contract management with final customers and subcontractors
  • Risk analysis, identification, and management
  • Project budget and forecast management
  • External stakeholder management
  • Site activities planning, budget analysis, and verification
  • Change management and variation order/claim management
  • Product and system certification process support
  • Physical progress and financials reporting and KPIs
  • Projects strategies and planning
  • System handover and operation and maintenance training coordination
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a project manager
  • Knowledge of HOAI, VOB, and German project execution guidelines
  • General knowledge of planning and field access rules and homologation processes
  • Experience as a manager of multiple teams or team leader
  • Strong influencing, networking, and teamwork skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work methodically
  • Commitment to challenge and problem-solving
Education and Qualifications
  • 5 years' higher education from a business school or university
Language Skills
  • English - Full professional proficiency is mandatory
  • German - Full professional proficiency is mandatory
