The DFG International Research Training Group (GRK 2803) Scalable 2D-Materials Architectures (2D-MATURE) is an international collaboration between the University of Duisburg-Essen, RWTH Aachen University, and the University of Waterloo. This program offers a unique opportunity for PhD candidates to engage in cutting-edge interdisciplinary research.

Salary

The graduate training program provides a full-time position with a salary of approximately €47,000 per year, making it an attractive opportunity for aspiring researchers.

Job Description

As a PhD candidate, you will be part of an international team working on the synthesis, processing, characterization, and functionality of scalable 2D-materials architectures. Your research stay in Canada will provide valuable experience and networking opportunities.

  • Develop innovative solutions for scalable 2D-materials architectures
  • Collaborate with international colleagues from diverse backgrounds
  • Pursue a 6–8 month research stay in Canada
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in materials science or a related field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in an international team.
