Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Specialist to join our Project Delivery Partners team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of planners in delivering large-scale CAPEX projects within the Biopharma industry.

About the Role

The Senior Planner will provide critical decision-making information to support project delivery on time. You will be working closely with the planning teams to advance planning, scheduling, progress measurement, change management implementation, and analysis. A thorough understanding of policies, methods, and procedures is required, including advanced planning and scheduling techniques, risk analysis, risk management, and support of project objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Expertise in project controls and time/schedule management is required, preferably within the Pharma/Biotech or associated sectors.
  • Expert experience level using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6), Excel, PowerPoint, and Pertmaster.
  • Ability to coordinate/organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.
  • Implement Project Planning/Scheduling strategy, plans, and procedures, reflecting both Company and contractor roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules.
  • Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis, and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole.
  • Analyze deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks/delays and propose corrective actions.
  • Prepare the Integrated Planning/Scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports/presentations.
  • Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance/change order.
  • Prepare resourcing plans for the overall and individual project phases, identifying any excessive peak numbers and making recommendations for peak levelling.
  • Ensure that schedule-related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering, and construction contractors is aligned and integrated to the overall Integrated Master Schedule.
Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in CAPEX projects with roles in planning/scheduling: preferably in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Significant experience in schedule setup, baselining, monitoring, and controlling on large-scale projects across all phases of EPCmV.
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk and change management.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability in cross-functional environments.
  • Advanced MS Excel.
  • Software systems and packages including Primavera P6.
  • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good Level in English, written and spoken.
