Senior Business Developer Position
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Developer to join our Grid Technologies team at Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG in Erlangen, Germany.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, managing, and forecasting development activities within Digital Grid.
This includes managing large strategic programs, collaborating with external partners, and various functions across the SE organization.
The role requires analyzing risks and driving innovations through an experimental approach.
The successful candidate will present new ideas effectively and influence stakeholders.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Planning, implementing, tracking, and reporting on project schedules and major outcomes (deliverables and milestones)
- Contributing to new business models development, evaluating, and prioritizing the impact of new technology development, market trends, and customer needs
- Developing detailed technical-economic analysis with a focus on customer requirements
- Leading, coordinating, and supporting partnership activities aligned with business and innovation targets
- Ongoing authoring of management and technical deliverables
Your Background
- Completed university degree in engineering, computer science, or similar field; MBA is a plus
- Long-term professional experience in energy systems, preferably transmission systems and products, R&D management, and/or business development
- Experience managing strategic projects and development programs, including budget management, partner management, and stakeholder management
- Understanding of digital solutions in the energy industry, IIoT, Digital Twins, Grid Software, Grid Automation is a plus
- Pro-active and hands-on approach to challenges and getting things done mindset
- High level of commitment, collaboration, integrative personality, and ability to work with multicultural teams
- Ability to build up systematic approach from various angles and develop complex storylines to C-level executives
- Business fluent communications skills in English to work in multi-cultural teams; German is a plus
What We Offer
Siemens Energy offers a competitive salary range of approximately €80,000 - €120,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic environment.
