Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer to join our team at AVL. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the planning and technical leadership of series development projects, from component and system integration to the development of entire vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and lead series development projects, including component and system integration, and the development of entire vehicles
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, designs, and test plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance
  • Conduct technical risk assessments and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to meet business objectives
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle development, engineering, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of CAD design tools, such as ProE/Creo or Catia v5
  • Experience with PDM systems and version control
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in English and German, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
